Sekhem Em Pet
“Guardian Of The Way.”
Welcome to the shrine of Anpu, The Royal Child, also known as Yinepu and Anu-Oobist. In Greek he is known as Anubis, or Golden Dawn.
God of orphans, travellers, and the lost. Guide of the dead. Son of Wesir and Nebt Het. "Lord of the Sacred Land", Opener of the Way and Guardian of the Veil. Protector of the deceased and of the necropolis, and overseer of the mummification process.
“He who counts the hearts” holds steady the scales on which the heart of the deceased is measured against the feather of Ma-at. Should the heart be light as the feather, the soul would then be lead by Anpu to be presented to Wesir. Should the heart be heavy, it is fed to Ammit and the soul destroyed.
